I just plugged it in and the controller has no problem running the upgraded module.Setting Up the SculpFun Laser With LightBurn Previous Video Next Video Series Menu It also bolted right up to my ORTUR Laser Master 2 S2 non-pro version. I ordered one of the Ortur LU2-4 LF modules and it seems to be just as capable cutting thicker material as the Sculpfun S9 and the air assist is much nicer than my 3d printed one for the S9. The better plywood from Woodcraft doesn't burn out nearly as bad so I can just run two passes at the same speed.

On the cheap Home Depot 5mm plywood I run 140mmsec/95powerfor the first pass and then 250/95 for the second. Then I can put that new line on a different layer and run the second pass faster. I do this in Lightburn by right clicking the cut line and selecting duplicate. The other thing I'm doing is increasing the speed of my second pass. With the lower focus it almost cuts it completely in one pass. For the Sculpfun that is normally a 20mm focus height I 3d printed a focus cylinder that is 17mm high. The first and most important thing is to drop the focus of the laser a little bit. What I try to do is set the focus point about halfway through the depth of the plywood, so for 5mm plywood I drop it about three mm. I've figured out some settings that work pretty well.
